Both apps start free, so what matters is what you pay later. WishApp is free forever, with no fees of any kind. Setting up a wishlist and a goal on KUP is free too. The open question is the money. Contributions run through Stripe, and KUP doesn't say whether it adds a fee on top of standard processing. With a cash pool, that's the one number you'd want stated up front.
Devices aren't a contest here. KUP lives in a web browser and nowhere else, with no iPhone or Android app, no Mac app and no browser extension. WishApp is on iPhone, iPad, Android and macOS, with extensions for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera and Safari and a Raycast add-on. If you add gifts from your phone or while browsing on a laptop, you'll feel that gap fast.

WishApp shares a list with one link or a QR code, friends open it without an account, and claims stay secret from the owner. Viewing on KUP likely needs a login, and the site is English-only for now.
KUP is brand new. Its domain was registered in October 2025, and there are no app-store listings, reviews, press coverage or public company details to check. The homepage claims thousands of users, but nothing outside the site backs that up yet. WishApp has 50,000+ users, app-store ratings you can read and a track record across all its apps. When an app handles a group's money, that history is worth weighing.
