WishApp is free. There's no upfront charge and no cut of anything. Reggie works differently. Building the registry costs nothing, but before you can go live and collect a cent you pay an upfront platform fee, and after that Reggie takes a percentage of every contribution. One couple on Trustpilot was blunt about it: the fees build up as the money comes in, so budget for the initial fee and the per-contribution take. Reggie prices everything in Australian dollars.
Reggie is built for weddings, and this is the part its fans love. You get cash funds, a wishing well, a dedicated honeymoon fund, a fully customisable wedding website, and thank-you emails drafted automatically with each guest's name and amount. WishApp has none of that, because it's a wishlist for any occasion rather than a wedding suite. If you want guests to send cash straight to your bank and a beautiful event site in the same place, Reggie is the better tool.
WishApp runs on a lot more. Reggie is web-only. Its one Chrome extension was last updated in April 2024, and there's no iPhone, Android or Mac app and nothing for Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave or Opera. WishApp has apps for iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets and macOS, extensions for six browsers and a Raycast add-on, all working on the same list.
Reggie is cash-first. Guests contribute money through a Stripe flow, and the couple's dashboard shows exactly who gave what. That's by design, since the money goes to your bank, but it also means nothing is built in to keep a surprise. WishApp hides reservations so the owner never sees who claimed what, and friends reserve in one click without entering payment details. The two solve different problems, so work out which one you have.
Reggie covers one day: your wedding. While you're planning, that focus helps. Once the wedding is over, it's a dead end. For birthdays, Christmas, baby showers or an everyday wishlist you'd need another tool.
